Today officially begins my Whole30 journey! I made it through Day 1 just fine and didn’t feel like my meals were too different than usual, just a lot more protein and fats! I had a headache most of the day but it is expected and will probably get worse throughout the week since I will be detoxing from sugar and not snacking or feeding into my cravings.
I woke up early and had a pre-workout meal of sliced banana, cashews, and unsweetened coconut.

Breakfast: ground beef cooked in ghee with dash of cayenne pepper and cinnamon and some onion mixed with roasted butternut squash with thyme, side of kale and cooked apples with cinnamon. planned on having breakfast pork sausage but read the label and found it had sugar in it 😦
Lunch: scrambled egg with tomato, onion, spinach stuffed in a cooked green pepper topped with avocado, side of blueberries and strawberries and some snap peas and carrots
Dinner: Stuffed portebella mushroom cap with shredded chicken mixed with salsa and guacamole on a bed of arugla, steamed brussel sprouts in ghee, cajun sweet potato fries (olive oil, cayenne, garlic and onion powder, paprika) with homemade mayo with lime for dipping
